생활을

사람들은
어떤
어려움
속에서도
꾸준히
그들의
창의력을
펼쳐나갑니다.
창작이란
꿈을
현실화
시키는
작업이라고 할
수
있습니다.
꿈은
미래에
대한
인간의
갈망이며
작품은
그
꿈의
결실입니다. 꿈꾸던
미래가
지속적으로
현실로
전환하듯이
우리의
창작활동은
꾸준히
계속되어
왔습니다.
더욱
새로운
꿈의
현실화를
위하여
경륜을
가진
분들은
지혜로서
앞에서
끌어주고,
젊은
세대들은
정열과
창의로
밀어주는
우리의
모임이
되었으면
합니다.
30년이
가까워
오는
세월
속에서
60명이
넘는
회원들이
모여
이제
카나다
복합사회
속에서
한인
예술인들이
끝없이
정진하는 모습을
보여주게
되었음을
흐뭇하게
생각합니다.

From Dreams to Concrete
Form
No matter how cold and
long the winter is, flowers find their own time to bloom again. Just as
a seed that was buried under snow germinates, artists are able to
develop their creativity under the harshest circumstances.
Creation can be described
as a process of transforming dreams into material form. Dreams are
visions for the future; art is the harvest of those dreams. Since our
dreams are constantly becoming the present, and then the past, our
creative activities must always strive to meet the changing future.
I hope the mature members
of our group will use their wisdom to lead the younger, and that the
younger generation, with its passion and new ideas, will support the
generation before it – all so that the newer dreams will take concrete
form.
Over the past thirty
years, with more than sixty members, this group has striven tirelessly
to contribute to our multicultural Canadian society. I am very proud of
these Korean artists, and the dedication and creativity that our
organization has supported.
I want to thank all the
members who have blossomed with their art after the winters, the former
committee members who have shown their leadership, and the sponsors who
have provided material and moral support. This group is what it is
today because of you. I foresee a bountiful future for the Korean
Artist Society of Canada.
